2016 SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM NEWS RELEASE: FREE SUMMER BREAKFAST AND LUNCH

Mesquite ISD will offer free nutritious meals this summer for all children ages 1-18. The Summer Food Service Program offers free breakfast and free lunch to any child. No advance qualifying or registration is required.

Meals will be free for children 1-18 years old without charge and are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.

Due to Health and Sanitary Rules, all meals must be eaten in the school cafeteria; no part of the meal may be taken away from the cafeteria. Adults may purchase a breakfast for $1.50 and lunch for $3.00 at most participating locations.

Find a school cafeteria listed below near you. Please notice the specific dates and times for each site.  Look for signs for directions into the cafeterias, usually from the rear entrance of the buildings.

Children do not need to be part of Mesquite ISD to participate. This program is provided by the Texas Department of Agriculture throughout the state of Texas. To locate other participating sites call Texas 211, text FOODTX to 877-877 or visit SummerFood.org
